About Chango Spasiuk
Chango Spasiuk is an Argentine accordionist and composer born in Apóstoles, Misiones, in 1968. He plays chamamé shaped by the musical traditions of northeastern Argentina and his Ukrainian family heritage. His recordings include Polcas de mi tierra, Tarefero de mis pagos, Pynandí and Otras músicas.
Chango Spasiuk has performed at WOMAD festivals with an accordion-led ensemble. In Argentina, one of his major concert performances was documented on the live album Tierra colorada en el Teatro Colón, recorded at Buenos Aires’s Teatro Colón.
