About Los Tekis
Los Tekis are an Argentine folk group formed in 1991 in Jujuy. Their music draws on Andean and northwestern Argentine traditions, including carnavalito, huayno and saya, and their best-known songs include “Vienes y te vas,” “Hasta el Otro Carnaval” and “No Somos Nada.”
Los Tekis have performed repeatedly at the Festival Nacional de Folklore de Cosquín and the Festival Nacional de Doma y Folklore de Jesús María. The group also created its own carnival gathering in San Salvador de Jujuy, featuring vocals, charango, Andean winds, guitars and percussion under the name Carnaval de Los Tekis.
