About Chicago Mass Choir
Chicago Mass Choir is an American gospel choir founded in Chicago in 1988 by James C. Chambers. The ensemble performs traditional and contemporary Black gospel and is known for recordings including “When the Praises Go Up” and “He That Believeth.”
Chicago Mass Choir has performed at the Chicago Gospel Music Festival and taken its choir-and-band concert format beyond the United States. Its international live history includes church, theatre and festival appearances in Spain and Italy.
