About Chimarruts
Chimarruts is a Brazilian reggae band formed in Porto Alegre in 2000. The group plays reggae-pop and MPB and is known for songs including “Versos Simples,” “Do Lado de Cá” and “Pra Ela.”
In 2008, Chimarruts recorded the concert release Chimarruts ao Vivo at Pepsi on Stage, documenting its full-band arrangements and prominent flute parts. The band has also performed at the Planeta Atlântida festival.
