Artists
Circle Jerks are an American hardcore punk band formed in Los Angeles in 1979 by vocalist Keith Morris and guitarist Greg Hetson. Their debut album, Group Sex, became an early document of Southern California hardcore, and their best-known recordings include “Wild in the Streets,” “Beverly Hills” and “Live Fast Die Young.” Later albums included Wild in the Streets and Golden Shower of Hits. Circle Jerks were filmed onstage for Penelope Spheeris’s documentary The Decline of Western Civilization, which preserved performances by several bands from the early Los Angeles punk scene. After reunion periods in the 1990s and 2000s, the band returned to the stage at Punk Rock Bowling in Las Vegas in 2021. The 40th Anniversary Tour followed in 2022, when Circle Jerks toured with 7Seconds and Negative Approach.
Municipal Waste are an American crossover-thrash band formed in Richmond, Virginia, in 2001. Their fast, compact songs draw on thrash metal and hardcore punk, while albums such as Hazardous Mutation, The Art of Partying and Electrified Brain established a catalogue that includes “Unleash the Bastards,” “Sadistic Magician” and “Born to Party.” The 2022 Campaign for Musical Destruction tour paired Municipal Waste with Napalm Death across North America; Sick of It All and Take Offense completed the lineup. The 2024 Brainsqueeze Tour followed, featuring Ghoul, Necrot and Dead Heat. The band has also performed at Hellfest and Bloodstock Open Air.
