About Coldplay
Coldplay are a British rock band formed in London in 1997. Their established lineup comprises Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman and Will Champion. The band plays melodic alternative and pop rock, and is known for albums including Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head and Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, as well as songs such as “Yellow,” “Clocks,” “The Scientist” and “Viva la Vida.”
The Viva la Vida Tour took the band through arenas and outdoor venues in 2008 and 2009. The Mylo Xyloto Tour followed with stadium concerts, including Emirates Stadium in 2012, and the A Head Full of Dreams Tour reached Wembley Stadium in 2016. The Music of the Spheres World Tour began in 2022 and included a run at Estadio River Plate in Buenos Aires.
Coldplay first headlined Glastonbury Festival in 2002 and returned as a headliner in 2005, 2011, 2016 and 2024. The band also performed at Rock in Rio in 2011 and 2022.
