Congo Natty & General Levy in Birkenhead

Congo Natty is the recording and performance name of British jungle producer and MC Michael West. He first released music as Rebel MC, including “Street Tuff” with Double Trouble, before developing the ragga-jungle sound heard on “Junglist,” “Code Red” and the album Jungle Revolution. In 2013, Congo Natty performed at Glastonbury Festival during the release year of Jungle Revolution. He later brought his DJ-led jungle sets to Boomtown Fair, whose programme has long included reggae, dub and soundsystem music.

General Levy is a British MC and singer from London, born Paul Scott Levy in 1971, whose music spans dancehall, reggae, jungle and drum and bass. He is best known for his rapid vocal performance on M-Beat’s 1994 track “Incredible,” a staple of the UK jungle era. In 1994, General Levy and M-Beat performed “Incredible” on Top of the Pops. He later carried the track into DJ-led MC sets at clubs and festivals, including Boomtown Fair and Glastonbury Festival.
