Artist
Curtis Stigers is an American singer, songwriter and saxophonist born in Boise, Idaho, in 1965. He became known through the pop song “I Wonder Why,” then moved toward vocal jazz and soul on albums including Baby Plays Around and You Inspire Me. He also recorded Nick Lowe’s “(What’s So Funny ’Bout) Peace, Love, and Understanding” for The Bodyguard soundtrack and co-wrote and sang “This Life,” the theme for Sons of Anarchy. One More for the Road paired Curtis Stigers with the Danish Radio Big Band for a concert program drawn from the repertoire of Frank Sinatra at the Sands. His other performances use a smaller jazz ensemble, and he sings while also playing tenor saxophone. That format has brought him to club stages including Ronnie Scott’s in London.
