Artists
Cypress Hill is an American hip-hop group formed in South Gate, California, in 1988. Their self-titled debut and the album Black Sunday established a sound built around DJ Muggs’s production, B-Real’s nasal delivery and Sen Dog’s forceful vocals. “Insane in the Brain,” “How I Could Just Kill a Man” and “Hits from the Bong” became signature tracks, while later records brought rap-rock into the group’s catalogue. At Woodstock ’94, Cypress Hill performed for the festival’s Saturday crowd during a period of extensive touring. They launched the Smokeout festival in Southern California in 1998, programming hip-hop and rock on the same event. The group joined Slipknot and Ho99o9 on the 2022 Knotfest Roadshow, then presented Black Sunday in full alongside the London Symphony Orchestra at Royal Albert Hall in 2024.
Method Man & Redman are an American hip-hop duo comprising Method Man of Wu-Tang Clan and Redman of Def Squad. Their partnership produced the 1995 single “How High,” the albums Blackout! and Blackout! 2, and the 2001 comedy film How High. In 1999, they joined Jay-Z and DMX on the Hard Knock Life Tour and performed at Woodstock ’99 during the year Blackout! was released. They later performed together on multiple Rock the Bells lineups.
