D.I. in West Hollywood

D.I. is an American punk band formed in Fullerton, California, in 1981 by vocalist and songwriter Casey Royer after the Adolescents broke up. The group plays Orange County hardcore punk with surf and pop touches; Royer has remained its sole constant through numerous lineup changes. Its releases include the debut EP later retitled Team Goon and the albums Horse Bites Dog Cries, State of Shock and On the Western Front. D.I. also performed “Richard Hung Himself” in Penelope Spheeris’s 1983 film Suburbia and appeared on its soundtrack.
