Dafné Kritharas in Déville-lès-Rouen

Dafné Kritharas is a French-Greek singer, born in 1992, who spent her early childhood in Crete and grew up in the Paris region. A self-taught musician, she began performing professionally with guitarist Paul Barreyre in 2013. Her albums include Djoyas De Mar, built around Greek and Judeo-Spanish songs, and Varka; she received the Prix des Musiques d’Ici in 2020. In 2018, concerts at Café de la Danse accompanied the release of Djoyas De Mar. She followed Varka with a concert at the Alhambra in 2021 and has also performed at Paris Jazz Festival and La Défense Jazz Festival.
