Dan Hill in Markham

Dan Hill is a Canadian singer-songwriter born in Toronto in 1954. He is known for soft-rock and pop ballads led by “Sometimes When We Touch,” from the album Longer Fuse, as well as “Never Thought (That I Could Love)” and “Can’t We Try.” In 1985, Dan Hill appeared with the Northern Lights ensemble at the Juno Awards for a performance of the famine-relief single “Tears Are Not Enough.” His own concerts draw on songs from across his catalogue, including “Can’t We Try,” originally recorded as a duet with Vonda Shepard.
