Danzig in Anaheim

Danzig is an American heavy metal band formed in 1987 by singer and songwriter Glenn Danzig after the end of Samhain. Its heavy, blues-rooted hard rock is represented by songs including “Mother,” “Twist of Cain,” “She Rides” and “Dirty Black Summer,” while the albums Danzig, Lucifuge and How the Gods Kill established the core of its catalogue. Danzig supported Metallica on part of the Damaged Justice tour in 1989 and later performed at Woodstock ’94. The band launched the recurring Blackest of the Black tour in 2003, pairing its headline sets with metal acts including Superjoint Ritual, Nile and Opeth. A 25th-anniversary tour in 2013 also featured Misfits material performed by Glenn Danzig and guitarist Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein.
