David August in Barcelona

David August is a German-Italian electronic musician, composer and producer from Hamburg whose work moves through house, ambient music and contemporary composition. He became known through releases for Diynamic, including the album Times and the track “Epikur,” before pursuing a more experimental direction on D’Angelo and through his 99CHANTS label. His 2014 Boiler Room performance in Berlin presented his music as a live electronic set built around keyboards, controllers and his own material. He later expanded that concert format with X-Poème, performed alongside the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin at the Berlin Philharmonie.
