De Saloon & SAIKO in San Francisco de Mostazal

De Saloon is a Chilean alternative-rock band formed in Concepción in 1997. Their guitar-led pop rock became known through songs including “Te,” “Quiero hacerte feliz” and “Déjalo,” as well as albums such as Morder and Abrázame. In 2007, De Saloon performed at the Festival de Viña del Mar, bringing the band to Chile’s principal televised music stage. In 2013 they opened for The Cure in Santiago at Estadio Nacional.

SAIKO is a Chilean rock band formed in Santiago in 1998, led vocally by Denisse Malebrán and founded by musicians including Luciano Rojas and Rodrigo Aboitiz. Its guitar-and-synth sound is documented on albums such as Informe Saiko, Campos finitos and Las horas, while “Cuando miro en tus ojos,” “Limito con el sol” and “Lo que mereces” became key songs in its catalogue. SAIKO performed at the Viña del Mar International Song Festival during the Las horas period. After Malebrán returned to the group, reunion concerts at Teatro Nescafé de las Artes re-established the band’s live presence in Santiago.
