Deacon Blue in Manchester

Deacon Blue are a Scottish pop-rock band formed in Glasgow in 1985 by singer-songwriter Ricky Ross. Their catalogue includes “Dignity,” “Real Gone Kid,” “Chocolate Girl” and “Fergus Sings the Blues,” alongside the albums Raintown and When the World Knows Your Name. The When the World Knows Your Name period took the band through UK arenas, and concerts at Glasgow SECC were filmed for the live video The Big Picture. After splitting in 1994, they reunited for concerts in 1999, then returned to UK venues following the releases of The Hipsters and City of Love.
