Dead Boys in Denver

Dead Boys are an American punk rock band formed in Cleveland in 1976, with Stiv Bators on vocals and Cheetah Chrome among the founding guitarists. After relocating to New York, they became part of the city’s early punk scene. Their best-known recordings include “Sonic Reducer,” “Ain’t Nothin’ to Do” and the album Young, Loud and Snotty. Dead Boys performed repeatedly at CBGB during the late 1970s, playing fast, compact sets built around their two-guitar lineup. Their 1979 farewell concert there was recorded and later released as Night of the Living Dead Boys. Original members reunited for occasional concerts during the 1980s, the final period in which Stiv Bators fronted Dead Boys.
