Dean Owens is a Scottish singer-songwriter from Leith who writes country, folk and Americana. He first became known as the frontman of The Felsons before establishing a solo catalogue that includes Into the Sea, Southern Wind and Sinners, the latter recorded in Tucson with musicians associated with Calexico. Dean Owens has toured Cash Back: Songs I Learned from Johnny, a concert built around songs connected to Johnny Cash and their place in his own musical development. His wider live work has also taken him to Celtic Connections in Glasgow and AmericanaFest in Nashville.
