Darden Smith in London

Darden Smith is an American singer-songwriter from Texas whose music draws on folk, country and roots rock. Based in Austin, he has built a catalogue that includes the albums Native Soil, Little Victories and Sunflower. He is also a co-founder of SongwritingWith:Soldiers, which brings songwriters together with military veterans and their families. In 1989, Darden Smith recorded Evidence with British songwriter Boo Hewerdine, and the pair toured together in Britain. His later concerts have included solo acoustic performances and full-band shows in the United States and the UK, usually in listening rooms, clubs and theatres. In Austin, he has presented his songs at the Cactus Cafe.
