Def Leppard are an English hard-rock band formed in Sheffield in 1977. They became known through albums including Pyromania and Hysteria, and songs such as “Photograph,” “Pour Some Sugar on Me” and “Love Bites.” The Hysteria tour placed the band on a central, in-the-round stage in 1987. They later co-headlined a North American arena and stadium tour with Journey in 2018, followed in 2022 by The Stadium Tour with Mötley Crüe, Poison and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts. In 2013, Viva! Hysteria brought a residency built around a complete performance of Hysteria to the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. A decade later, The World Tour reached Wembley Stadium in London.
Extreme are an American hard-rock band formed in Boston in 1985, led by vocalist Gary Cherone and guitarist Nuno Bettencourt. Their album Extreme II: Pornograffitti established their mix of hard rock and funk metal through songs including “More Than Words,” “Hole Hearted” and “Get the Funk Out.” In 1992, Extreme performed a medley of Queen songs at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert at Wembley Stadium. Their 2009 performance at the House of Blues was released as the concert film and live album Take Us Alive, and the 2023 Thicker Than Blood Tour paired them with Living Colour.
