Depedro in Vigo

Depedro is the project of Spanish singer-songwriter and guitarist Jairo Zavala, launched in 2008 after his work with Vacazul and 3000 Hombres. His music draws on indie rock, folk and Latin American traditions; the self-titled debut was recorded in Tucson with members of Calexico. “Como el viento” and “Te sigo soñando” are among his best-known songs. In 2017, Depedro performed a Tiny Desk Concert in Washington, presenting Zavala with a compact touring band. The project later marked its tenth anniversary in concert, a performance documented on the live release Antes de que anochezca: 10 años en directo and associated with Madrid’s Teatro Circo Price.
