Artist
Deradoorian is the solo project of American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Angel Deradoorian, formerly the bassist and vocalist in Dirty Projectors. Her psychedelic art pop first appeared under her own name on the EP Mind Raft, followed by the albums The Expanding Flower Planet and Find the Sun. Between 2007 and 2012, she toured as a member of Dirty Projectors, performing material from Rise Above and Bitte Orca. In 2014 she returned to the road in Avey Tare’s Slasher Flicks, the trio behind Enter the Slasher House. After releasing The Expanding Flower Planet, Deradoorian performed her solo work with a live band and opened a run of US concerts for Animal Collective in 2016.
