About Diamond Head
Diamond Head are an English heavy metal band formed in Stourbridge in 1976 and associated with the new wave of British heavy metal. Their self-released debut, Lightning to the Nations, included “Am I Evil?”, “Helpless”, “The Prince” and “It’s Electric”, all of which were later recorded by Metallica.
In 1980, Diamond Head supported AC/DC on British dates, and two years later they performed at Reading Festival. Following their early-1990s reunion, they appeared with Metallica and Megadeth at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes in 1993.
