Diary Of Dreams in Brunswick

Diary Of Dreams is a German darkwave band founded in Düsseldorf in 1989 by singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Adrian Hates. Electronic arrangements, guitar-led rock and Hates’s low-register vocals shape records including One of 18 Angels, Freak Perfume and Nekrolog 43; “The Curse,” “Traumtänzer” and “She and Her Darkness” are among the band’s best-known songs. The live album Alive documented the group’s mid-2000s stage repertoire, followed by the concert film Nine in Numbers. Later tours built sets around albums such as Ego:X and Grau im Licht, taking the full band through European clubs and theatres. Diary Of Dreams performs with Hates at the centre of a touring band, combining his vocals and guitar with electronic programming, bass, additional guitar and drums. Diary Of Dreams has returned to Leipzig for Wave-Gotik-Treffen and has also performed at M’era Luna in Hildesheim and Amphi Festival in Cologne.
