DIR EN GREY in Nagoya

DIR EN GREY is a Japanese rock and metal band formed in Osaka in 1997. The group came out of the visual kei scene, while albums including Gauze, Vulgar and Uroboros explored alternative, avant-garde and extreme metal. “OBSCURE” and “SAKU” are among its best-known songs. DIR EN GREY played Osaka-jō Hall in 1999 and made its first European festival appearances at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park in 2005. The 2006 Family Values Tour then brought the band to North American amphitheatres on a lineup led by Korn, and two 2010 concerts at Nippon Budokan closed the Uroboros touring cycle.
