DJ KRUSH in Aix-en-Provence

DJ KRUSH is a Japanese DJ and producer born Hideaki Ishi in Tokyo in 1962. His instrumental hip-hop and downtempo electronic music is built around breakbeats, samples and turntable technique. He became known through albums including Strictly Turntablized, Meiso, MiLight and Zen, as well as tracks such as “Kemuri.” During the 1990s, DJ KRUSH took his turntable sets to international stages including Glastonbury Festival, then performed at the inaugural Coachella in 1999. His usual concert format is a solo set using turntables, a mixer and effects, presented in clubs, theatres and at festivals. He has also performed at Fuji Rock Festival in Japan.
