Dominique A in Mont-de-Marsan

Dominique A is the stage name of French singer-songwriter Dominique Ané, born in Provins in 1968. His music places literary chanson within spare indie rock and pop arrangements. He established his catalogue with the debut album La Fossette and “Le Courage des oiseaux,” followed by records including Remué, L’Horizon and Vers les lueurs. In 2007, Dominique A released Sur nos forces motrices, a live album documenting his band performances and concert arrangements of earlier songs. The 2012 concerts for Vers les lueurs brought the record’s rock instrumentation and wind parts to theatre and festival stages, while later shows connected the electric material of Toute latitude with the more acoustic writing of La Fragilité. His French concert history includes repeated appearances at the Olympia in Paris.
