Dominique Fils-Aimé in Terrebonne

Dominique Fils-Aimé is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Montreal whose music draws on jazz, soul and contemporary R&B. Her album trilogy Nameless, Stay Tuned! and Three Little Words traces blues, jazz and soul through the history of Black American music; Our Roots Run Deep develops her vocal-centered approach further. Dominique Fils-Aimé has performed this repertoire at the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, where one of her concerts became the album Live at the Montreal International Jazz Festival. She later presented songs including “Our Roots Run Deep” in an NPR Tiny Desk Concert, performing with a compact vocal and instrumental ensemble.
