Eddi Reader in Dunfermline

Eddi Reader is a Scottish singer-songwriter, born in Glasgow in 1959, who first became widely known as the lead singer of Fairground Attraction. Her voice led the band’s 1988 single “Perfect” and debut album The First of a Million Kisses; her solo catalogue includes Eddi Reader and Eddi Reader Sings the Songs of Robert Burns. Eddi Reader toured with Eurythmics as a backing vocalist during the 1980s before performing with Fairground Attraction following the release of their debut album. She later established a sustained solo concert career in theatres and arts venues, and has returned several times to Celtic Connections in Glasgow.
