About El Gran Silencio
El Gran Silencio is a Mexican band formed in Monterrey in 1992. The group plays cumbia-driven rock with ska, reggae, hip-hop and norteño, and is known for the albums Libres y Locos and Chúntaros Radio Poder, including the songs “Dormir Soñando” and “Chúntaro Style.”
The band performed at the inaugural Vive Latino in Mexico City in 1998, the year Libres y Locos was released. Five years later, it performed at Coachella in Indio.
