Eleanor McEvoy in Wermelskirchen

Eleanor McEvoy is an Irish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, born in 1967, whose music draws on folk, rock and blues. She is best known for writing and singing “Only a Woman’s Heart,” the title track of the 1992 compilation A Woman’s Heart. Her catalogue also includes the albums Eleanor McEvoy, Yola and Early Hours. Before beginning her solo recording career, Eleanor McEvoy played violin in the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland and toured in Mary Black’s band. She later took her own songs to theatres, arts centres and festivals in Ireland, Britain, continental Europe, North America and Australia. Her festival appearances have included Glastonbury Festival.
