Elvin Bishop in Agoura Hills

Elvin Bishop is an American blues and rock singer, guitarist, bandleader and songwriter, born in Glendale, California, in 1942. After moving to Chicago for university, he became a founding figure in the Paul Butterfield Blues Band and began a solo career in 1968. His albums include Let It Flow and Struttin’ My Stuff, which featured his best-known single, “Fooled Around and Fell in Love.” He entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the Paul Butterfield Blues Band in 2015 and the Blues Hall of Fame as a solo artist in 2016. Bishop made frequent appearances at the Fillmore after relocating to the San Francisco area. He joined an Alligator Records anniversary tour in 1992, toured with B.B. King in 1995 and later toured with Charlie Musselwhite.
