Emma-Jean Thackray is a British trumpeter, singer, composer, producer and bandleader from Yorkshire. She makes jazz rooted in funk, soul and electronic production, and is known for the EPs Ley Lines and Um Yang and the 2021 album Yellow. Emma-Jean Thackray leads a full band, singing and moving between trumpet and keyboards. In 2022, she brought the Yellow repertoire to Glastonbury Festival and North Sea Jazz in Rotterdam.
