Fagner in Rio de Janeiro

Raimundo Fagner is a Brazilian singer, songwriter and guitarist from Fortaleza, Ceará, born in 1949. His music belongs to MPB and draws strongly on the song traditions of northeastern Brazil. He is known for recordings including “Mucuripe,” “Canteiros,” “Revelação,” “Deslizes” and “Borbulhas de Amor,” as well as albums such as Manera Fru Fru, Manera and Traduzir. The album Fagner ao Vivo documented his catalogue in a full-band concert setting. He later joined Zé Ramalho for Fagner & Zé Ramalho ao Vivo, a concert and recording project in which the two singers performed solo material and duets, including “Chão de Giz” and “Mucuripe.”
