About Faraquet
Faraquet is an American trio formed in Washington, D.C., in 1997. The band plays tightly structured math rock and post-hardcore, marked by interlocking guitar and bass parts and abrupt rhythmic shifts. Its central release is the 2000 Dischord album The View from This Tower, which includes “Cut Self Not,” “Carefully Planned” and “The Missing Piece.”
Faraquet reunited for a Brazilian tour after announcing its return in 2007. The group later played intermittent reunion dates, including a return to the Black Cat.
