About Braid
Braid is an American emo and post-hardcore band formed in Champaign, Illinois, in 1993. The group is known for the album Frame & Canvas and songs including “The New Nathan Detroits,” “A Dozen Roses” and “Killing a Camera”; after reuniting, it released No Coast.
Braid ended its first run with farewell concerts in 1999, and footage from the final five shows became the concert film Killing a Camera. The band regrouped for a reunion tour in 2004, returned again in 2011 and later toured in 2023 to mark the 25th anniversary of Frame & Canvas.
