Fat Freddy's Drop in Ramonville St Agne

Fat Freddy's Drop are a New Zealand band formed in Wellington in 1999, playing dub, reggae, soul and electronic music. Their best-known recordings include “Wandering Eye,” “Roady” and “Flashback,” alongside the albums Based on a True Story, Dr Boondigga and the Big BW and Blackbird. Live at the Matterhorn captured an early extended performance at The Matterhorn and established concert recording as an important part of their catalogue. In 2020, the band recorded LOCK-IN without an audience at the Michael Fowler Centre, presenting songs as a continuous full-band session. The seven-piece performs with vocals, rhythm section, keyboards, guitar and horns, often developing the studio material into longer arrangements and improvisations. Festival appearances have included Glastonbury and WOMAD New Zealand.
