Fatih Erkoç in Istanbul

Fatih Erkoç is a Turkish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, born in Istanbul in 1953, whose music spans jazz and pop. A vocalist who also plays trombone, piano and bass, he is known for songs including “Ellerim Bomboş,” “Anı” and “Oynatmaya Az Kaldı.” In 1971 he joined the TRT Light Music and Jazz Orchestra as a trombonist, then spent years performing in Norway and Sweden. After returning home, he won the 1986 Kuşadası Golden Pigeon Music Competition with “Yol Verin A Dostlar,” a televised performance that preceded his solo recording career.
