Flo and Joan in Huddersfield

Flo and Joan are a British musical-comedy duo formed by Portsmouth sisters Nicola and Rosie Dempsey. Their online video “The 2016 Song” became a viral hit, and they later wrote and performed comic songs for Nationwide television adverts. Their work combines close harmonies, keyboard and percussion with tightly written satire. The theatre show Before the Screaming Starts was followed by UK tours of Sweet Release and Now Playing. These productions use the duo’s established two-person format, centred on original songs and spoken comedy. Festival runs have also taken Flo and Joan to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
