Foghat in Dodge City

Foghat is an English rock band formed in London in 1971 by Dave Peverett, Roger Earl, Tony Stevens and Rod Price. Their blues-rooted hard rock and boogie became closely associated with “Slow Ride,” “Fool for the City” and their version of “I Just Want to Make Love to You,” as well as the albums Fool for the City and Foghat Live. The 1977 concert album Foghat Live documented a set drawn from the band’s heavy touring years. Foghat performed at California Jam II at Ontario Motor Speedway the following year, appearing on the same concert lineup as Aerosmith, Santana and Ted Nugent. The band continues to play American theaters, casinos and rock festivals, led by founding drummer Roger Earl.

Head East is an American rock band formed in east-central Illinois in 1969. Its hard rock sound is built around guitars, keyboards and vocal harmonies, and the band is best known for “Never Been Any Reason” and the album Flat as a Pancake. Other staples include “Love Me Tonight” and its recording of “Since You Been Gone.” The 1979 double album Head East Live! documented the group after several years of touring behind its A&M releases. Following the end of its original run in the early 1980s, keyboardist Roger Boyd assembled later lineups and took the band back on the road. Head East has since played theatres, casinos, fairs and classic-rock festivals, including Rocklahoma.
