Foy Vance & The Paper Kites in Brisbane

Foy Vance is a Northern Irish singer-songwriter, born in 1974, whose music draws on folk, soul and roots rock. He is known for songs including “Guiding Light” and “She Burns,” and for albums such as Joy of Nothing, The Wild Swan and Signs of Life. In 2014, he recorded the concert later released as Live at Bangor Abbey. He subsequently opened selected dates on Ed Sheeran’s ÷ Tour, then returned to theatres and concert halls for his own Signs of Life Tour. Foy Vance plays recurring headline concerts in London and Belfast.

The Paper Kites is an Australian indie-folk band formed in Melbourne in 2009. The group became known for the songs “Bloom” and “Featherstone,” followed by albums including States and twelvefour. The Paper Kites toured North America as support for City and Colour before establishing their own international headline circuit. Later, for At the Roadhouse, they converted a former general store in Campbells Creek into a performance space and held a month-long residency there under the name The Roadhouse. The band has returned to the United States and Canada for headline tours, and has also played London on its British runs.
