Francis Cabrel in Gatineau

Francis Cabrel is a French singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Agen in 1953. His acoustic pop and chanson draw on folk and blues, and his best-known songs include “Petite Marie,” “Je l’aime à mourir,” “L’Encre de tes yeux” and “La Corrida.” His major albums include Sarbacane and Samedi soir sur la Terre. Cabrel public documented his concerts in 1984, while D’une ombre à l’autre followed the Sarbacane tour in 1991. La Tournée des Bodegas became another live release in 2005, and later concert cycles included the In Extremis Tour and the Trobador Tour.
