About Freedom Call
Freedom Call are a German power-metal band formed in Nuremberg in 1998 by singer and guitarist Chris Bay and drummer Dan Zimmermann. Their melodic, chorus-led sound is established on albums including Stairway to Fairyland and Eternity, while “Warriors” and “Metal Is for Everyone” became signature songs.
Freedom Call supported Saxon, Angra and Edguy on European tours early in their career before undertaking their own headline runs. A concert at Z7 in Pratteln was documented on the live album and video Live in Hellvetia, and the band later performed at Wacken Open Air.
