Artist
Candy Dulfer is a Dutch saxophonist, born in Amsterdam in 1969, who plays jazz-funk and smooth jazz. The daughter of saxophonist Hans Dulfer, she formed the band Funky Stuff as a teenager and became widely known through “Lily Was Here,” recorded with Dave Stewart, and her debut album Saxuality. Her recording credits also include work with Prince. In 1990, she performed with Pink Floyd at Knebworth. Her band performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2002 was released as Live at Montreux 2002, and two years later she joined Prince’s band for the Musicology Tour across North America. She has performed at North Sea Jazz in Rotterdam and returned to Jakarta for Java Jazz.
