About Gaahls WYRD
Gaahls WYRD is a Norwegian black metal band formed in 2015 around vocalist Gaahl, previously of Gorgoroth and God Seed. The band established its own repertoire with the album GastiR – Ghosts Invited, which includes “Ghosts Invited” and “Carving the Voices.”
The band made its concert debut at the BlekkMetal festival in Bergen in 2015. In 2019, it appeared on the Northern Ritual European tour with Mayhem and GosT, taking its material through club and theatre venues.
The concert format is a full metal band, and sets have included songs from Trelldom alongside Gaahls WYRD’s own work.
Its festival appearances have also included Wacken Open Air in Germany and Hellfest in Clisson.
