Gabrielle Cavassa in Atlanta

Gabrielle Cavassa is an American jazz vocalist and songwriter who grew up in California and developed her career in New Orleans. She won the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition and released a self-titled debut album before becoming the featured singer on saxophonist Joshua Redman’s album Where Are We. Cavassa toured as part of Redman’s Where Are We ensemble, singing material connected to American cities alongside his quartet. The collaboration also produced an NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert featuring Joshua Redman, Aaron Parks, Joe Sanders and Brian Blade.
