Ledisi in Atlanta

Ledisi is an American R&B, soul and jazz singer-songwriter, born in New Orleans in 1972 and raised in Oakland. Her catalogue includes the albums Lost & Found, Turn Me Loose and Pieces of Me, while “Anything for You” earned a Grammy Award for Best Traditional R&B Performance. She has also recorded the Nina Simone tribute album Ledisi Sings Nina. The Truth Tour brought her to theatres across the United States in 2014, followed by The Intimate Truth Tour with Raheem DeVaughn and Leela James in 2015. She toured again in 2018 on the Let Love Rule Tour, joined by Melanie Fiona and Tweet. The Wild Card Tour followed in 2021 with Kenyon Dixon.

Atlanta Symphony Orchestra is an American ensemble founded in 1945 and based in Atlanta. It performs symphonic and choral classical music and is especially known for recordings made under music director Robert Shaw, including Berlioz’s Requiem and Britten’s War Requiem with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus. Atlanta Symphony Hall has served as the orchestra’s principal home since 1968. The ensemble made its Carnegie Hall debut in 1971 under Robert Shaw and undertook its first European tour in 1988.
