GBH is an English punk band formed in Birmingham in 1978. Initially billed as Charged GBH, the group became known for fast, abrasive hardcore punk through releases including Leather, Bristles, Studs and Acne, City Baby Attacked by Rats and City Baby’s Revenge, as well as songs such as “Sick Boy” and “Give Me Fire.” A 1983 performance at the Ace in Brixton captured GBH during the early City Baby period. The band later carried that repertoire into decades of international club and festival dates, including appearances at Rebellion Festival in Blackpool and Punk Rock Bowling in Las Vegas.
The Samples are an American rock band formed in Boulder, Colorado, in 1987. Led by singer and songwriter Sean Kelly, they play melodic alternative rock shaped by reggae rhythms and open-ended improvisation. Their best-known recordings include “Feel Us Shaking,” “Did You Ever Look So Nice” and the albums No Room and The Last Drag. The Samples joined the inaugural H.O.R.D.E. festival tour in 1992 and spent much of that decade performing in clubs and college venues across the United States. Their Colorado concert history also includes repeated appearances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
