Geoffrey Keezer in Cambridge

Geoffrey Keezer is an American jazz pianist and composer, born in 1970 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. His recordings as a leader include Waiting in the Wings, Here and Now, Áurea, Heart of the Piano and Playdate. Áurea received a Grammy nomination for Best Latin Jazz Album, and his Playdate composition “Refuge” won the Grammy for Best Instrumental Composition. As a teenager, Geoffrey Keezer joined Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers and appeared on the group’s albums Chippin’ In and One for All. He later toured or performed with Art Farmer, Ray Brown, Joshua Redman, Christian McBride, David Sanborn and Wayne Shorter. He has also performed at jazz clubs and festivals in North America, Europe, Japan and the Middle East.
