George Thorogood & The Destroyers are an American blues-rock band formed in Wilmington, Delaware, in 1973 by singer and guitarist George Thorogood. Their boogie-driven sound is associated with “Bad to the Bone,” “Move It on Over” and “One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer,” as well as the albums George Thorogood and the Destroyers and Bad to the Bone. In 1981, the band undertook the 50/50 tour, built around playing all 50 US states in 50 days. George Thorogood & The Destroyers later performed at Live Aid in 1985 at Philadelphia’s JFK Stadium, where Bo Diddley and Albert Collins joined their set.
